BOOK REVIEW: Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

“Could ten days at a health resort really change you forever?”

Nine strangers gather at a remote health resort for ten days. Some are there to lose weight, get a reboot on life, or have reasons they can’t admit to themselves. They figured they would have to do some work while being pampered, but they weren’t prepared what challenges they would have to face.

Long story short- I went in thinking that this was going to be a thriller, but it’s not. There were moments of psychological suspense, but not many. I was finding myself bored until the last 20 pages or so. I found the characters reasons for being there interesting because they were so well-written, but it couldn’t save the overall story.
I normally love Moriarty’s novels, but I did not enjoy this one, it didn’t even sound like one of her normal books.

Happy Reading,

Ashley
