Promptly Journals: The Future of Self-Discovery & Journaling

If you guys have been following me for awhile, you know I am HUGE on self-discovery & think journaling is the best (and cheapest) form of therapy.

However, I have been lacking when it comes to my own journals. I have always loved keeping a pen and paper journal, but it’s hard to juggle a baby in my arms and my journal on me knee. So the last few months I haven’t been journaling at all.

But my soul seriously needs the release and I have felt the effects of ditching my “therapy.”

But then I found Promptly and all my prayers were answered- NO JOKE.

Promptly Journals has released an incredible app (and desktop platform) that allows you to keep multiple journals right on your phone.

Promptly offers multiple journals (some listed above) for you to keep your thoughts, memories, and ideas organized. Then in each journal, you can add pictures, write about your day, or browse through the journal prompts they have available.

In my everyday journal, I answer 5 journal prompts provided by Promptly daily. It helps me dive deeper in self-exploration and makes me answer the hard questions I may not have asked myself. You can also choose what days and time of the week you would like to be reminded to journal. I have set mine for 10pm because the baby is already in bed and it’s the perfect time for me to be alone with my thoughts and a hot cup of tea. Since it’s on my phone I can lay in bed without a lamp on (so I’m not waking the baby) and spend the time needed to release all thoughts, emotions, and ideas. I have seriously created so many journals and I love having them organized all in one place. I have a: everyday, blog ideas, travel, and baby journals.

Promptly updates their prompts monthly so the categories and questions are always changing (just like your life).

My favorite feature about Promptly is they offer a travel journal as well! I have ALWAYS wanted to keep a travel journal but either forget to pack it OR I forget to write in it. It makes me sad because I would love to preserve those memories and feelings in other ways than just through pictures.

Now that I have the Promptly app, it makes it easy for me to write everyday and attach pictures to the journal entries! Then when I get home from the trip I can print all pages and include into my scrapbooks!!

Journals are a great way to leave a legacy. You can pass it down to your children and they can learn so much about you. That’s why I love Promptly because you can print your journal entries. It’s great to add into scrapbooks or make your own printed journal.

I chose the $99 a year subscription because investing in myself is important to me. If you don’t want to save and pay the $99 upfront, you can opt to pay $9.99 a month.

Plus it’s saving me money and space from having 5+ journals like I did before. I had literally a stack of journals for different categories that take up so much room and are hard to keep track of. Now I have them right here on my phone and I don’t have to worry about forgetting them somewhere or someone opening them up and reading them!

Even if you start with the starter plan, I can promise you will be upgrading shortly. The monthly cost is cheaper than one hardbound journal and you don’t have to worry about loosing your memories because the app makes it easy to print the pages.

I am so grateful to have found Promptly and truly am thankful for how easy they have made journaling. I didn’t bother buying a baby book because I can keep all memories right here with pictures, milestones, and more and print the pages at the end of the month! I feel like I document more since I can grab my phone and jot down thoughts and accomplishments as soon as they happen.
