I just had the most magical, relaxing, pampering girls weekend away with my mama and baby girl in Costa Mesa. OMG IT WAS A BLAST!!!
I’ve told you guys before, I am not the kind of girl that doesn’t care about the hotel. A good hotel is EVERYTHING to me. I am not here just to sleep. The hotel is where you go to unwind after a long day, lay in bed with your family watching TV, and where you start your day so it literally sets the stage for the entire trip.
I have stayed in a ton of Westin’s across the USA and they never disappoint. Incredible amenities, great restaurants (pre COVID), and beautiful rooms/lobbies. But I have to say, The Westin at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa really set the bar high. It is by far one of my favorite hotels we have stayed in. The room was TO DIE FORRRR!!!
15th floor, overlooking the South Coast Plaza, and you could see clear to the hills and beyond. We stayed in what I would call a Penthouse suite. 2 full bathrooms, bar area with sink & fridge, full dining room, full living room, desk, King size bed in a separate room with a vanity, dresser, and TV. Our room is what dreams are made of!! ESPECIALLY for a girls weekend.
Plus when we checked in there was a snack station to the right that had wine, beer, white claws (and other drinks and snacks but are those even important over White Claws?!). After a long drive from Fresno with the baby we desperately needed a White Claw or two and grabbed some before we headed up to our room.
Checking into the room is was spotless. I can honestly say during our entire stay here we felt safe and protected from COVID. Masks were required to be worn in the hotel and they didn’t offer room service during our stay. However they had no problem quickly bringing up more waters, coffees, and towels when we called.
But the comfort, view, and amenities of the hotel isn’t the only thing that made it so great. The Westin at South Coast Plaza is literally central to everything in Costa Mesa. 15 minutes from Disneyland or 5 minutes from anything in Costa Mesa. We literally explored the entire city (and Downtown Disney) and spent hardly anytime in the car. We were always so shocked when we typed into Google Maps our next destination and it was a quick 5 minute trip. Or you could keep your car parked at the hotel and walk over the bridge to the South Coast Plaza shopping center where you can literally shop until you drop (or are in massive debt- either one and no judgement. They have Chanel there, I get it.)
If you are planning a trip to Costa Mesa or even Disneyland, I couldn’t recommend The Westin at South Coast Plaza enough!! It even makes for the PERFECT staycation if you are wanting to surprise your honey with a romantic night away!!
