Okay you guys know I am extra when it comes to party planning. I just don’t have it in me to not go ALL OUT.
It is a curse and a blessing…
So when baby girl’s 1st birthday was coming up, I knew I had to do it big.
She has been obsessed with Moana since birth so it was an easy theme to pick. And I have to say, everything turned out SO adorable!! But when planning a party, I don’t just think of decor. I think of the guest experience. How can I make this an event where there is something for everyone? A party they will never forget?!
I mean, you saw my baby shower right?!
Having a Moana party just wouldn’t be complete without Moana herself. That’s when I found A Wish Your Heart Makes.

The storybook characters will delight each child through an adventure of storytelling, Music and dance, etiquette and kindness, tea parties, and more.
Whether it be a birthday party, family holiday gathering, community celebration, or a special play date, they will bring joy, laughter, and magic into each event!
The team collectively has a total of 30+ years in child education. “We have been invited into the hearts and homes of over 6,000 families and have participated in numerous community events,” says business owner Kathee Brown. “Through the years, we have especially enjoyed visiting children’s hospitals, and working with special needs kids. We feel blessed to be working with a team of wonderful, innovative, and energetic people who love putting smiles on children’s faces and enlivening their imaginations!”

OUR EXPERIENCE
When they say they are ‘the happiest company on earth’, they aren’t kidding. From start to finish it was a seamless experience that exceed any expectations we had. The owner Kathy called me two weeks before the party to go over every last detail. She worked with me since we had a younger age group and some of their activities wouldn’t fit. Instead she listened to my request and Moana delivered.
Moana then called me from the middle of the ocean to finalize everything! I couldn’t believe she took time out of returning the heart to Tafhiti to give me a call! We were thrilled!!
The day of the party Moana and Hay Hay arrived on time and surprised all of our guest. Moana told us about her childhood, her journeys, and her victories of restoring the heart to Tafhiti and returning life to the islands. What an inspiration!
She danced and twirled with my niece and gave us a performance of a lifetime.
After we got to learn all about Moana and her friends, she stuck around for a little to take pictures with all the families and even got in the play area with the birthday girl and played with her! It was truly magical.
Before Moana was off, she presented the birthday girl with this adorable custom sash that we will keep in her baby box forever. The quality was exceptional and it was such a sweet bonus. I love mementos like this and truly treasure the sash and flower crowns.
It was a first birthday me and my guests will never forget thanks to Moana.
