My love language is gifts. Not getting gets, giving them. And although that’s not my husband’s #1 love language, it’s for sure one of them.
I show my love & appreciation by trying to find something they will truly love. That’s why I surprised my husband with a Zgrill.
He has been working so hard during the busiest season of construction. In the heat & smoke, while wearing a mask, he’s been out selling, working, and then comes home to work even more.
The second he gets home he eats, does dishes, then goes and bathes Addy while I unwind. To top it off, Addy has been having a M A J O R sleep regression & Chad’s been getting up with her all night since I wake up earlier than him.
I’m a firm believer in always working on your relationship. Saying thank you for every small thing, and going above & beyond when it’s deserved.
I truly believe this is what has made Chad & mine’s relationship so strong over the last 6 years is that we are constantly united in gratitude and appreciation for each other.

So of course the first night he got the grill, he threw together some steak kabobs over asparagus. It was the perfect meal to break in his new grill & have a quick date night at home over steak kabobs and wine.
When you’ve been together for awhile, it’s important to remember to keep the romance alive. To do things you would have done when you were dating and carve out a few extra minutes in your day for some romance.
