What would have been a $6 Uber ended up costing us $80!! For a 10min bike ride. (But we did have fun!)

Tips for the City

  • Transportation: Uber is affordable and convenient for getting around the city. The hotel also offers a first-come, first-serve house car service for local drop-offs.
  • Avoid Costly Bike Rides: While bike rides in Central Park can be fun, avoid the ones charging $7-$9 per minute. If you do choose to ride, negotiate the rate beforehand.
  • Plan Ahead: Make reservations for popular attractions and restaurants in advance to avoid long waits and ensure the best experience.
  • Pack Snacks: Keep snacks on hand for the kids, as sightseeing can be tiring and food options can be pricey.

We had brunch at Nougatine by Jean-Georges. The food was amazing and this cucumber martini was to DIE for!

  • Central Park: A vast urban park with playgrounds, boating, and countless walking paths.
  • Fifth Avenue: Luxury shopping, including Saks Fifth Avenue and the American Girl Place store.
  • Lincoln Center: Home to the New York City Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera, and more. Check the schedule for family-friendly performances.
