Kyte Baby: The Softest & Most Breathable Clothes For Your Baby

I am so excited to announce, BABY ADDYSON IS HERE! She surprised us a month early but we were more than prepared and had our hospital bags packed! So when I went into active labor we loaded up the car and went to the hospital to meet our precious rainbow girl.

In my hospital bag for her, I packed only the best outfits for her that are soft and chemical-free for her brand new skin. What she wears is just as important as the chemicals you use on their skin. We want to avoid rashes, overheating, and any irritants as much as possible.

While preparing for babe, I researched the best materials for baby clothes and diapers and bamboo seemed to be popping up everywhere.

That’s what drew me to Kyte Baby Clothes.

Kyte Baby Clothes and Blankets are made from bamboo material which is perfect for that soft, fragile skin.

WHY BAMBOO

The Kyte Baby website couldn’t explain it better. They state, “Bamboo fibers create an incredibly soft fabric that is both gentle and cozy to the touch. The fabric is breathable, for comfort in any temperature, and absorbs & evaporates humidity better than any other fabric available.

Bamboo, technically a grass rather than a tree, is one of the most sustainable resources on earth, textile or otherwise. Growing up to a yard in a single day, it never requires replanting due to its vast, interconnected root network. Not only does it not require replanting, but it also doesn’t require tractors, fertilizers, or pesticides.

Following harvesting, it’s converted into fabric. This fabric, called rayon, is incredibly soft, statistically breathes better than cotton, and is hypoallergenic. This makes it perfect for babies, especially when considering overheating and sensitive skin.

The benefits of using bamboo begin with it being the most sustainable and versatile resource on the planet, as we’ve mentioned. It’s the fastest-growing plant in the world and quickly adapts to different climates. Not only is it earth-friendly, but it is also an environmentally intelligent choice because bamboo minimizes CO2 and generates 35% more oxygen than trees.

Bamboo is the best choice for your baby, and for the planet’s future.”

The founder of Kyte Baby, Ying Liu, daughter has chronic eczema which led her to research fabrics that would keep her skin cool, and also wouldn’t irritate her. Turns out, that fabric is bamboo.

Bamboo is 3 degrees cooler than cotton, while also being hypoallergenic The softness & coolness of the fabric are unmatched by cotton or anything else for that matter. Her daughter immediately stopped pulling off her clothes, and her sleep significantly improved. Ying Liu also found out that bamboo is a highly sustainable resource. It requires much less time & water to grow bamboo compared to cotton, and it practically uses no pesticides. With that choice made, Kyte BABY was born.

ABOUT KYTE BABY

Ying Liu states on her website that the name Kyte BABY was chosen very purposefully. Playing on the whimsical activity of flying a kite, Kyte is meant to evoke a feeling of innocence, freedom, and a return to nature. All of these ideas carry over into our core business values as well. Kyte BABY is a testament to timeless fun and youth while being natural and healthy.

Kyte Baby not only prides themselves on using bamboo in their products, but they are also a family business straight down to the sourcing. Ying Liu explains on the Kyte Baby website how she went back to China for a family reunion and started chatting about her business with her Aunt Ling. Aunt Ling owns a garment factory in a small town in Southern China and suggested that Ying start her own line of bamboo sleepwear, sourced in China. Although her factory has been extremely successful, they were not getting enough work lately because of rising labor costs and tougher competition from other Asian countries. One of the biggest problems she faced was that she couldn’t afford to keep all the workers during off-peak seasons. These are the workers that she eats every meal with and sleeps in the same dorm building with. She asked Ying, “Why don’t you design your own line of bamboo baby clothing, and I will manufacture them for you, during the factory’s downtimes?” She added, “Babies are born year-round, right?”

Tat’s when everything fell into place for Ying and she was able to start a family-owned & operated company that went all the way to sourcing. Just like using bamboo fabric itself, filling the factory’s down time truly promotes the smart use of resources and sustainability. This way of thinking is evident in every aspect of Kyte BABY.

FAVORITE KYTE BABY PRODUCTS

Sleep Bags

The key difference between a Kyte BABY Sleep Bag and other similar products on the market is its zipper design. The curved zipper is much more comfortable for baby, and is easier to use for the parent. All of this means that you have a product that is remarkably safe for your baby to sleep in, and is also comfortable enough that your baby will actually sleep soundly in it. What purpose is a safe sleeping alternative that’s too uncomfortable for a baby to actually use?

Are you having trouble putting baby to bed at night? Then you have to try our sleep bag. So many moms report that it helps their baby sleep through the night. And since it’s the safest alternative to a blanket in bed, it helps reduce the risk of SIDS too. That’s probably why it was voted the No. 1 Wearable Blanket by The Bump (2019). Our sleep bag is made of 97% rayon of bamboo so it feels buttery soft and breathable. It features a J-shaped double zipper, which makes it super easy to use. At 1.0 TOG, it’s the ideal warmth year-round. TOG is a rating system that measures warmth and calculates how quickly a fabric uses heat. It is the standard when choosing the appropriate sleeping bag for your baby depending on the ambient temperature in their nursery. We recommend a thicker tog during cooler months and a thinner size during warmer months.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is
required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like
yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

  2. I needed to compose you a little bit of word to be able to thank you so much yet again over the pleasant principles you have contributed on this page. This is so extremely generous of you to provide without restraint all many individuals would’ve made available for an ebook to generate some dough on their own, most importantly since you might well have tried it in case you considered necessary. Those smart ideas likewise acted like a easy way to be aware that other people online have a similar interest just like mine to know the truth a good deal more when considering this problem. I believe there are a lot more pleasant occasions in the future for those who discover your blog.
