We have officially been in Indiana for a year now! I can’t believe how fast this year has flown and how much we love our new city and state. If you didn’t follow alone our move, make sure to check out my blog on the MakeMyMove program where I shared how we were paid to move from California to Indiana.
We bought a track home built in 2020 and it is very much sad biege. Except we didn’t even have that- the walls were WHITE. The walls, counters, backsplash, everything is a very dull white. Which makes a great starting point but can drive you a little crazy along the way.

Turning a house into a home takes time, money, and patience. We lived in the home for about 6 months before deciding what design and aesthetic we wanted. Now that we know we are going a modern vintage decor route, we areย in that super awkward stage where we are collecting decor, but don’t have a clear spot for them just yet. Everything’s sort of camped out on our buffet table, which is kind of a vibe if I do say so myself. But everything here will eventually have their forever home.
We want to decorate with gold ornate frames and haven’t been able to find anything in stores until I FINALLY stumbled upon Artfully Walls that had EXACTLY what we were looking for. At Artfully Walls you can customize any piece of artwork. From the size and frame to the matting. On the smaller framed art from Artfully Walls in a float mount with deckled edge and it came out even more beautiful than I imagined.ย Iโm literally obsessed with these pieces! We initially thought theyโd be perfect for our gallery wall, but now? Well, we might just have to get a few more because every corner seems like it could use one of these beauties. Decisions, decisionsโฆ ๐ค๐ฝ๐ค๐ฝ 10/10 would recommend! Our order arrived super quick, I want to say the same week we ordered, and was protected in the box. No damage to any of the frames or art. If you are looking for framed art, Artfully Walls has so much to choose from and I highly recommend!
I’m absolutely obsessed with creating the perfect tablescape. From choosing the right dinnerware to picking out napkins and crafting a stunning centerpiece, it’s all so exhilarating! I haven’t pinned down the exact design yet, but I’ve already fallen head over heels for this incredible Dinnerware Set from Laura Ashley. The set, part of their modern Victorian collection, is truly breathtaking in personโespecially the Midnight Pinstripe design, which comes in a charming Heritage Collectables gift box. We love to have family dinners and holidays at our house and this is the perfect Dinnerware Set that matches our aesthetic and is high-quality enough to use time and time again! (Plus they are microwave and dishwasher safe and the best part is the entire set is under $60!)
Lucky for us, we have moved to a town that is over 200 years old with generations of families living here. That means there are so many antiques and hidden treasures in thrift stores, antique shops, and yard sales. I grew up with my parentings collecting Lenox and as I became an adult, I carried on the tradition. We were on Facebook marketplace one night and these vintage Lenox Demitasse Tea Cups popped up for only $85! This was a MUST HAVE item and I am so excited we scored them. The silver cups have little feet on them and it’s just such a unique and beautiful Lenox Demitasse Tea Cups set.ย
We are still searching for a rug to go under our table and we actually bought the table when we were going a more mid century ย modern dining room theme. I wrote a blog on it like 3 months ago, ordered art, furniture, and decor and then we decided on turning our home into a victorian manor and went a totally different direction.
The good news is our table from West Elm still works PERFECTLY! We ordered the Anton Solid Wood 86″ Dining Table, Burnt Wax and it’s so beautiful. The dining table has lasted 6 months of family dinners with kids and we haven’t had any scratches or damage which is really impressive. For the chairs, again this was during our mid century modern phase but we found them from Wayfair. They are the Aunnika Upholstered Walnut Dining Chairs in green. They sit everyone in our family comfortably, have been easy to clean on any spills/stains, and feel very heavy duty.ย
